This session was done on truth and Reconciliation day and it was such a beautiful day.

I enjoyed being able to capture these beautiful moments 💗

  I’m not very hands-on with my clients prior to the session , but I am working on becoming more so . I do give them some wardrobe tips if they inquire . I try to tell them to do something casual so that it feels a little more like themselves and not like they are in a stranger’s clothes . I also have them bring something a bit dressier to shake it up a bit . I tell them to stay clear of crazy patterns and a lot of logos , if possible . I try not to dictate what they wear too much , as I want them to preserve their personal style , as well . Sometimes it’s better when they are perfectly coordinated , but that’s not how they would normally be dressed . I go for personality over perfect fashion coordination . Unlike some photographers , I don ' t have them send me photos of their outfits prior to the session ! it’s usually a surprise . I have noticed that - "pre session " outfit sharing is becoming more common , and I do think it ' s a great - idea . I may start impleme...

Engagement story 💍

Here it goes, my wonderful engagement story. It was a super sweet engagment, so it was a very rough time for me. I had lost my dad to cancer in September 24th 2019.  It was extremely hard as my dad only got to meet his grandson for only one month.. 😢💔 So December comes and it was a hard time for my mom & my brother and me.  So I didn't really wanna celebrate or decorate for Christmas, but my boyfriend said we should so we can show the kids that it's still a time to celebrate. So We set up the tree and everything around the 22nd of December. Then the 24th comes and I told him I'm gonna bring out my camera and take picture of the tree and us sitting around the tree with our son. Then he's like no no I got this let me set it up, I was like uh okay because I'm the Photographer in the family so I didn't think much of it though.  So I set my son in his little bumbo chair and then my boyfriend said here give this gift to your mom.
